Maggie is especially proud of Uno who expertly represented her breed and brought “home” a prize that has never won by a beagle in the history of the Westminster Show.
Not only that, but it was the first time in nearly 70 years that a beagle had won the Hound Group (that’s almost 480 dog years).
Judges said he was an “all around happy dog,” he barked and howled and nipped at a newly printed sign. He tried to grab his leash and he lept at a piece of filet mignon. But all of that adorable beaglery won over the judges and the audience. Uno received a standing ovation from a sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden as the judges announced his win.
I think I heard Lester Holt get a little choked up with joy as he was adding his commentary.

that’s how NBC lists it on their site. you wanna argue with a NATIONAL television network. they’re never fucking wrong.
